The Prince’s Trust Team programme in Cannock and Tamworth


Safer Communities CIC will now be delivering The Prince’s Trust Team programme in Cannock and Tamworth after securing funding via the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) programme through it's lead organisation for Staffordshire, Steps to Work (Walsall) Limited’s Evolve project.

Team is for 16-25 year olds who are not in education, employment or training. It is a 60 day/ 12 week programme where individuals will develop skills and confidence to help them gain a positive and sustainable outcome.

The dates are as followed:
Cannock Community Fire Station: 2nd October 2017
Cannock Community Fire Station: 5th February 2017
Cannock Community Fire Station: 4th June 2018
Tamworth Community Fire Station: 1st October 2018
Tamworth Community Fire Station: 4th February 2019


Through the programme, each individual will have the opportunity to gain invaluable qualifications and experiences that include going away on a residential, completing a community project, attending work placements, a team challenge and organising and attending a presentation event. This programme is student led and so what each Team creates will have a long lasting legacy for their community and will be something to be proud of.

The Evolve programme, made up of 18 Partner organisations aims to support a variety of projects across the Lichfield, Cannock, Tamworth and East Staffs areas. The projects will support participants with multiple barriers to regain their confidence and move closer to the jobs market.
This project is funded by Big Lottery Fund and the European Union through European Social Fund

Evolve can support anyone who is:
16 years and over
Unemployed (cannot be in part time work or on 0 hours contract)
Economically Inactive (including those not working who are claiming benefits
Has complex needs/multiple barriers which are impacting on being able to enter paid employment
Requires support to fully and independently engage in existing services
Living in Lichfield, Cannock, Tamworth and East Staffordshire
